I am a US citizen, my fiance is a UK citizen...and the plan is for myself and my children to move to the UK with him as soon as possible. I have looked and looked on the internet to find the easiest, fastest and cheapest way of doing this, and so far... I have found nothing easy, fast or cheap I would settle for one of the three myself

I have questions about the different Visa types...

If we were to be married in the US, I would apply for the K3 Visa (this is my understanding)... or I could apply for the K1, which is a fiance Visa (I think) and get married in the UK... but what would I need to have for my children? If I have the K3, it says that as long as I include my children...they will fall under that Visa... is that correct? If we each have to have a Visa, and if my interpretation of the fees involved is also correct, it would be $1050 each just to be able to go. This of course includes nothing else, and if denied, is just a complete loss. What ist the best route to take? Is getting married first the fastest way? I could go to the consolate in Chicago with him once married to apply for the K3, and from what I've read, you can get that within a week... assuming of course this means that you would be able to leave at any point once the Visa is processed.

Also, if anyone knows by chance what needs to be done with the court on behalf of taking my children out of the country... well, the local courts don't even know about that one! They have not seen their father in 10 years, although he does pay support.
