✎ EN Travel for honeymoon with fiancee visa

    Hi,

    My wife and I got married 2 weeks ago in UK. She is a south korean national and I am french national living in UK. She has been granted a fiancee visa and we now have the marriage certificate. We havent applied for the EEA2 yet. We would like to travel to Europe, probably France for honeymoon, but I am worried about the come back to UK.
    I was wondering if she could come back without any pb with the fiancee visa as it is still valid until January 2008. Or maybe she could come back on a tourist visa. Note that South korean national does not need to apply for visa to visit UK or Europe.

    Are you sure it is a fiance visa, and not an EEA family permit? The EEA family permit is valid for several entries, so it would be no problem.

    Technically that is not quite correct, since a tourist visa is not meant for settlement, but it should work. Or you can use the marriage certificate to prove your status, because you have the European rights based on your status, independant of the residence card.
