Can someone tell me why is it soooooooooooo difficult to get information from these people even though they ask you all the relevant information to aunthenticate the caller. Is it because of security reasons, you tend to get response like " your application is under consideration" over and over again they never say exact status.

Are they trained to give that response only?

    No.
Its logical.Your case is either under consideration or has been decided. They just tell you what the computer screen tells them.

It's not that logical! I received my residence card and after 4 days I called them to make a test and guess what? They told my application is under consideration, even though they had posted my passport back with the residence card 6 days earlier. So it ain't that logical!

Well I would say maybe it is the time the system is being updated when it comes to data entry. As an IT person I know how time consuming it can be when loads of data has to be uploaded, scanned or typed in via keyboard.

So I believe its what the system is showing at the time of calling but the wait and suspense is killing me

We all, at one point or another, have gone through this horrendous waiting period, and easier said than done, we all just have to grin and bear it.

Patience is a virtue, and it pays off.
