the less hassle the better ;)

i just want my girlfriend to not be haslled anymore every time she enters or leaves the eu.

    Hi,
So, where it's going to be your permanent residence once married? In US? Brazil or anywhere in Europe?
I mean, brazilians don't need visa to go to Europe anyway and it's no problem to enter EU. So if she goes to EU only as a tourist it should not be a problem!!!!

I don't know how is it to get married in the US, but you could get married in Brazil and then your new wife applies to a married visa to live with you in the US then. People say that this is easier than going with a fiancee visa.

i will live between spain and brazil in the coming years. we need to get married because in some cases she is likely to stay more than 6 months a year in europe...and because of the frequent travel and tons of stamps in her passport the eu immigrations are very cautious.

what c ountry in europe is it easiest to get married in?

can i get married in spain without being a resdient? is it enough to just be europeans and have the regular documatation that is neccessary to get married?

Hmm, do you know? The easiest country to get married in Europe is in Denmark - ok, I am not sure if it's the EASIEST one as I don't know all EU countries. But I know MANY brazilians married to german who got married in Denmark.
They needed only a valid tourist visa and that's it. I think you can even make the appointment on the phone and go and get married in 2 days. One day to go there and do some stuff and next day the real marriage.
I don't know if Denmark is an option to you, but if you are really interested I can look for the home page of the register where they celebrate marriage.

    Are you in Europe now?
Maybe Brazil is easy to marry! I am quite sure.

By the way, why not marry in Sweden then?
My sister is married to a swedish and she is brazilian anf got married there when she was just as a tourist. Quite easy, no complication.
I got married in germany and they requested certified translation of birth certificate, etc etc. I think my sister got married only with her passport!!! So easy! And she was not a resident there at that time.

denmark sounds fantastic...i think its some region a few hours outside cohenhagen but if you could give me some insights i'd greatly appreciateit. i am also looking into seden, although they tend to be a little bureaucratic.

cypres also looks cool, but its a bit out of the way.

and brazil....forget about it. i just bought an apt there and the amount of bureaucracy is truely shocking. took 3 months to close the deal after after agreeing on price. i even heard that they have a special marriage visa for foreigners....whats the point? i love brazil, but sometimes they should focus their work force on less bureaucratic things.

denmark or sweden are the most liekly places i guess now.

    Hi Tronic,
I will look for some links for you then.
I agree with you, the bureaucracy in Brazil is horrible sometimes!! It's quite bad, I have to agree!!

Hmm, marriage visa is normal nowadays in many countries: UK (in the UK there's marriage visitor visa and marriage visa for who wishes to live there).
In Germany they only marry who has a marriage visa now, etc...

Anyway, have a look at the link below for example:
    http://www.toender.dk/default.asp?mnu=403#engelsk

You can send the documentation by post and then plan the wedding. And the legal stay in Denmark is only a tourist visa (if you are as tourist it's considered a legal stay, ie: you don't need to be permanent resident, etc).

A few registration office you might consider in Denmark:

Some people say it's a bit more bureaucratic to get married in Kopenhagen, but it's worth checking too:

    Copenhague (København):
    http://www3.kk.dk/Globalmenu/City%20of% ... riage.aspx
    Bryllupskontoret
    Rådhuset, stuen, værelse 83

    Fax: 00 45 33 66 71 58

    I hope this helps! :)
