Does anyone know what documents and procedures that need to be done for some one who voluntarily leaves the UK, to go to their home country to get married. Also what documents does the other person need to carry with them to that country in order to get married. The country in Albania thanks for your help.

 

So would it affect where he can travel, or would he only be able to go with me to certain countries as i've heard that some ppl get a list of where they can and accnot go after leaving.

 

Ok the whole thing is he's still an undecided case for 7 years now, something about loosing some of his documents the solicitor told him. I have seen his copies so i know he's still waiting. He is getting fed up and wanting to leave. We have been together for 4 years and want to get married, we met while i was in the Uk studying, i was a foreign national non EEA or EU. The plan was for him to leave voluntarily, i meet him there and he will come to my country to live.

 

I'm from trinidad part of the commonwealth i can travel to some countries without a visa but i know i have to get one for his. I think i might cost me $30 euros but not sure what forms i need to fill out before or if i get it on arrival

 

He has not been refused but some of his files have beeen lost, but after so long i think he would be considered an illegal immigrant any way. Do you know if the 10 amnesty is still done. Its really hot here in Trinidad after being in the Uk for as long as i have, it took some getting used to the heat it went as high as 40 degrees celcius just recently. I have a portable pool that i fill up in the back of my house and use it to cool down.
One thing i'm glad of is that i'm back with my family, but now my life is heading in a good direction i.e career wise and that i'm more stable in myself. I would like to add marriage to my bit of happiness and maybe a family, but firstly i have to try and get my man here with me. Thanks for the advice you have given me so far.

 

sorry i meant the amnesty that is given after 10 years if you didn't understand what i said.

 

I know he can leave but i've been wondering that he may not be able to go on holiday with me to other countries. Although the only places i most probably would think of visiting is the US and his country Albania and maybe in the distant future visit a few places in europe. I have asked him about obtaning a passport via UK but he's said that as his case is still undecided that its very difficult to get. Most of the ppl i've met through him have had to go through the same thing. They fill out the forms i can't remember what exactly it is called (P45 or something on those lines) it has to do with voluntarily leaving and that you no longer want to stay or receive any help. I have also seen this form as i had to explain some of the things that was written on it. This person has still not been sent home as they have to wait till the passport is given and some clearance from their home country. This was sometime coming to the end of last year and still nothing. The quicker way is to actually go to the home office itself and literally ask to be sent home but with consequences this is what i'm worried about the most.

 

wow thats way too long if he did decide to wait on that, i had planned for the least 3 years before i start trying to make our family bigger. Oh well not much of a problem in my case i am happy either way. now i have a very good idea what i have to do along with my own research, now time to start the immigration process, then wedding plans, which is more so overwhelming especially from where i am.
