I am a US citizen working for a US company that doesn't really care where I live...so I choose to live in London. I could enter on a tourist visa (but it has the 6 month limit), but I also qualify for the highly skilled migrant worker visa program (2 year limit). Under this scenario, am I liable for UK taxes while I live in London? I mean, I feel like I must be and they have some mechanism for "getting me", but I don't understand how this would actually play out...thanks!
