i am a Chinese holding student visa just married and my wife is Spanish.

we are about to make applications for eea1(my wife) and eea2(me).

some people told me i will stay my status as student which only allows me take part-time job before my application being approved(taking 6 months or more). so if i want to take full-time employment earlier, i should leave uk back to China or Spain then apply for an EEA Family Permit in UK embassy and come back here.

but i heard that another guy have the same situation as mine who got a letter from the home office allow him to work as full-time 2 weeks after he made the eea2 application.i tried to contact him to confirm this information but failed(he changed his mobile number).

could anyone recently made an ee2 application who currently holding a student visa answer my question?

    many thanks!

That is correct. You get a "Certificate of Application" "immediately" after sending the EEA2 application. And "immediately" seems to translate to about 2 weeks in the HO. The certificate states that you have the right to work, and that the employer should contact the Home Office for any further questions.

Note that you have the right to work the moment you get married. So you can already get a full time job now, if the employer understands the situation.
