An EEA family permit is a form of an entry clearance(EC) just live a visa and can be applied outside the UK.
Give a bit of information on your circumstance to enable readers make more meanings out of it and provide possble idea/suggestion.

    Thanky for reply ,

I do know what EEA FP is and that normal way is to appply in the country of residence not in UK , but I also heard you can do it inside the UK if you proceed via lawyer. Also the documents required by lawyer are usualy not so strict as preceeding via consular. I am in the situation when I can only apply in UK :(

Sorry - I thought its clear when somebody want to apply for EEA FP it must be from non-eea country and the partner is eea.(Serbia and Poland) We are married obviously(for 2 years). Living in UK for 3-4 months. Partner is WRS redgistred (1 month). The status of non eea is visitor.

Any ideas how to apply in UK?
Any experiences with EEA FP via lawyer ?

    Thank you

Thank you for the cool link.

However I think I dont qualify to apply mentioned way .
Ive only be given 6 months visa ( claimed on ground of tourist with EEA spouse ) and few monhts aready passed. I am not sure how long is the proceeding time but in case ist longer than 2 months I will be overstayer and am worried to be deported than. Also in case of refusal ( they do refuse unresaonably ) am worried to be deported as I would provide my address.

So still thinking about attorney way ..

As I said just apply for FMRS.You dont need solicitor, would be utter waste of money.I am almost positive you can pursue this route.
As far as I know there is no such a thing like Family Permit within the UK,so obvious choice is FMRS.Wait for couple of more days and we may have few more anwers, but I dont think that answer will differ from mine ;)

Tripple H,Your advise is the only option open to him.The link provided is the correct form for his residency application.Going through the Solicitor route is goose chase, except there are more information that is not made known to this forum.

    Thanks for replies ,

It might look strange why sombody would want to pay extra to lawyer when the application is the same, however I am wodering what would be the proceeing time via attorney?
Also what do you think would happned if the EEA citizen would change the job before the decision of the body ? What if the EEA memer would quit the job for few months ? What would be the decision than if the fact in the form wont be accurate anymore ..

    I am just wodering ...

meli myself and my polish wife have been looking into this for some time and i even considered the in uk option. But if you do it from within the country then it takes between 3 and 6 months and even the agencies say this too although they will extend your stay as they have your passport so you are unable to leave anyway. In the end the infomation that was given in the uk was so confussing we have not taken that option and are now trying plan A again. We have gone back to poland to submit ours as we have heard it can be done inside a day. You submit your application at any uk embassy but its at their dicretion weather they process it, the only one that as to do this is the embassy in your country or the country that deals with your request on behalf of the uk.

    Hi kiwi lad,
We tried that option- to apply in Poland on brit emb however it took longer than 3 months and they told us it will take up to 6 months. Because I don’t hold of permanent card for Poland I could only stayed 3 moths in Poland on visa and than had to leave the country and withdraw the application.
Well the thing is sometimes they can decide straight away or they decide to send it to UK and than its taking 6 moths.. All up to them.
So my only option is UK . I would really need to get it in 3 months max, but as I have done some resarch on immigration lawyers and they know as much as I do or even less :(

HI Meli what i was meaning is to try thr british embassy for serbia or the embassy that deals with the serbian requests maybe croatia or bosnia. i am only trying here as its easier and cheaper than flying all the way to new zealand and back but if i get denied here then thats what i can do. one though the embassy in new zealand is required by law to accept my request like the one in your country and it shoul be quick too. but fingers crossed i will know come monday morning when i go for my interview. good luck in your battle because i know how frustrating they can be.

I got eea family permit couple days ago and its easy if you know what to do and what documents to submit. this is for everyone who wants to know what to do about an application for eea f p . first of all most imporatnt things is to prove your relationship is real and it is not for visa or you are not into a fake marriage. you can do this by taking lots of photographs in different dressings and indifferent places. you should also go for a honeymoon with your wife and pictures in there and keep the recipt that is given by the hotel. second thing is that your sponsors employment in uk. she should be working full time for a while like at least 6 months and keep all payslips and get a confirmation from the employer in uk. the sponsor should at least get 230 a week so she can prove that she is able to look after you. third thing is your rental contract in uk that it should valid for current time and at least 6 months in advanced. your sponsors bank account details where should have at least 1000 ready in her account and phone bills that shows you were calling each other, the letters you wrote each other and cardpostals that is given on special occasions. if anbod is interested about this information then i can give more detaild and help people who wants to apply for this type of visa.

I'd say you need to prove your relationship by marriage certificate or other documents. No needs for photos or honey moon hotel bills, that would be just ridiculous. Well, if they have any doubts about relationship they will come back to you and still I would never go into personal details with them.

no my friend it is not like as you say. if you want to get your visa then you have to but you have to share your personal details with them. you telling me about the documents to prove your relationship, i dont think there is a stronger document than your photos and your honeymoon pic and stuff. it is not easy to get a visa just depending on marriage certiface and other relative documents. it is not their matter that you feel unconfident to share your personal details with them.
