Hi guys and girls

Here is a broad outline of the story. I went to Ireland to travel, from there decided to go and visit some of my friends in London. I then decided to do a quick medical trial as you don't need a visa to do it!! But my friend i visited said I can work with him as a carpenter and earn very good money. So I worked illegally as the money I would earn a week was equal to what I would earn in 4 months in South Africa. I took up the offer. The first town, Witney, I worked we went out and had a couple of pints in a bar and then I met Louise, my wife, and this was in October 2004. After a week we became a couple. So now I had to make a choice stay or go back and loose her, so I did what any man in love will do, I stayed.

I then got tired of looking over my shoulder the whole time, when is immigration going to catch up with me. We left the UK for South Africa to settle. We immediately applied for a relative visa and work permit for louise, she got.

Then she got homesick, South Africa is not what she exspected and she decide to go back for the easter holidays to visit her family. I had to work so I didn't go with. When she was over there we were calling each other 3 times a day, and we decided that it would be better for us to go and stay in the UK. She flew back to SA. We got married and 5 days later she flew back to the UK.

So now I am going to apply for the visa. I will tell you what I have got you tell me what else I need. cause I dont want to have a struggle like some people, which i think is very unfair.

- I have copies of Louise's passport plus the 2 visitor visa's grated when she flew in.(We know the relative visa has been approved but we haven't picked it up yet, should we try and get it?)

- I have letter that states I will have work as a carpenter at £1080 per week and Louise will start to work for dad next week as his PA and we have the letter confirming it. Both these letters are on letterheads.

- Original marriage cetificate

- Original birth certificates of us both

- Last three months bank statements stating that I have £1700 at my disposal.

- a letter from me and louise stating where we have met where lived and stating that we are a exclusive couple since 2004.

- We are going to stay with her parents for the first 2 weeks until we have found a place to live alone, so we have a letter from her parents stating we can stay there for a unlimited time.

- Also we will have a document stating that the property belongs to them
and also we have a utilty bill in her fathers name.

So please guys any help suggestions, anything to make it easier for us or what might be wrong with my info.

All good and well

Well a couple of problems. We arrived 01 dec 2006 in south africa. And she has left for the final time the 2nd of may and will only start work next week for her dad since we have flown. 4 months before we left the UK she worked as a nanny cash in hand. To be dead honest she didn't want to get paid like normal cause she didn't want to start paying back her student loan. So with other words no payslips, no p60 or p45 and no bank statements!!!! Thats why a friend has said that if I have about £1600 in my bank account that will be fine.

Also another question? I have 2 properties in South Africa I still owe a bit on it, but I get rental income from it. On the form I have to fill in they ask if i get a income from somewhere else should I put this up. remember that my bond repayment is more than the rental income?????
