    Guys I was just wondering if I could apply for residence stamp application. if I've overstayed my visa for few months?
    (Wife -Swedish, I'm -US)

    And also have such idea to use waiting time against them -like if they send me that letter of acknowledgement can I work legally for 6 month -until they reach decision? Even I might be refused as overstayer .

    What guys you think are chances if I use new passport ?

    I've read few stories here about overstayers and they got responses...
    I just asked if anybody who overstayed applied for residence stamp?

    Threre are overstayers and "overstayers".
    As a US citizen you can come and go as pleased,no visa required.
    Some people have no other choice!
    Should not affect your application if you were to apply for residence card.

    Well yeah but tourist visa aloud 3-months stay as stamped. Not everybody can afford to come and go as pleased.
    But Thanks for advice.
