    Hello,

    I am holding Bulgarian passport and this whole registration process is not very clear to me.

    I started as a temporary worker last June and then I was offered permenant position in the same company.

    Can I apply for a registration certificate this June as it will be one year since I started. or I need to be permenant for the whole period.

    I am holding a spouse residence card at the moment.

    Thanx

    Under the transitional arrangements coming into force on the 1 January 2007, most A2 nationals will not have a right to be a worker under EU law. However, you are able to exercise a treaty right as a worker in the United Kingdom without restriction in the following circumstances:
    You have completed, on or after 31 December 2006, 12 months continuous lawful employment in the United Kingdom;
    Entering the UK
    You are the family member of an EEA national who has a right to reside and is not subject to work authorisation requirements.

    Thank you for the immdiate reply. However, I wanted to apply for the registration scheme for Bulgarians. I know that I do not need it, but why not in case that this will give me rights as a Bulgarian citizen.

    My question is whether I can apply for it even though I dont need it. I have completed the 12 months required as a full time employee in an Investment bank in UK.

    Thank you
