✎ EN Family Permit who makes the application ?

    A question for anybody on the site who can help please ?

    To give some background I am a dual national living in the UK ( British/Irish ) with my wife who is thai, my wife is here on a two year settlement visa.

    I would now like to apply for a EEA family permit for my wife's daughter to join us in the UK. My basic question is do I as the EEA person make the application on a vaf1 for my wife's daughter ? As she is outside the UK will the application need to be done in Bangkok ?

    I am slightly unsure about this any body had a similar experience ? or any background on this. My wife's daughter is 12.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

    To be honest I am not sure wheather you can apply this way.
    You used UK IMMIGRATION rules to apply for your wife.
    If there is possibility that you can, she would have to apply in Bangkok.

    Thanks for the reply, I was under the impression that my wife could change her status using an EEA 2 and an application for my wife's daughter would be made in Bangkok unfortunately I do not know who makes the application her daughter or me.

    That is out of consideration.Once you use UK immigration you cant switch to EU rules,unless you leave the country.
    So, regarding your wife you will have to apply for ILR once her 2 year settlement is up for renewal.
    As I said, I am not sure about your wifes daughter.
