    I am a US Citizen and I came into the UK as a tourist with my EU National husband (he has an Italian passport) because I was unaware of the EU Family Permit. If I want to stay here with him and work, can I change my status or obtain a Family Permit while still in the UK (as long as I am here legally)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    You need To obtain residence not Family Permit when in the UK.
    I belive you can switch your visa as long as your husband is working/selfsuficient in the UK.
