I need to move a lot of stuff and was suggested to check BA (I'm flying with them) for charges on excessive luggage but just couldn't find the info...they are not clear at all from this point of view...

    can anyone please advise?

(please buy some of my books I cannot move them all!!)

thanks but unfortunately that's not the info I need..

In a different page they say 'domestic flights' 15pounds per piece but there is not written if there is a limit in terms of kilos..

I'm trying to work out whether it's cheaper to send things via royal mail or pay for extra luggage.
Also, I'm trying to understand -very confused with all the new rules!- if it would be okay to have my laptop in a trolley and get the trolly as hand luggage...

Don't forget that new (  ) rules apply in English airport: only 1 hand luggage per person, and it must fit within the dimension given by British authorities.

    Regarding baggage allowance: 23kg

That's why I need to understand how much they charge extra luggage...before, I would have got 1 trolley as hand luggage and the other one as baggage...but now...if both are to be considered not as hand luggage and they only allow 1 free bad then...how much are they gonna charge for the others or for extra kilos?
    That is soooo confusing!

And the fact that they do not reply to my emails and their line is always busy makes me feel...they also have new charges...don't really want to pay 50 pounds on extra luggage just because I didn't know...

    Packit!!

    Hi there,

I'm an expat moving to Oz this spring, I came across this website for sending my luggage:

    http://www.packitsendit.com

Only costing me £270 to send three suitcases! thought I'd share that with you all.

    HI,
the airlines charge you quite a lot for every single kilo extra luggage. To find out, you usually have to call BA. A cheaper way is, to send it with a parcel service. I sent last year a big box with around 35kg from Germany to Uk, they charged me 30 Euro. sorry, can't remember the company. But searh in the Internet for a good deal.
