✎ EN About to lose the right to stay in UK

    i am an non-EU married to EU spouse one year now
    i have got a residenc card for 5 years which is gonna exp in 2010
    a week ago my wife wants divorce
    cos she is in love with some one else. thats what she said
    any way i am worried what is gonna hapen after my residenc card exp
    do i have to go back to my country or i still have right to stay in uk

    pls can some one give me some advice

    The death of the EU citizen, his/her departure , divorce, annulment of marriage or termination of partnership will not affect the right of family members who are not nationals of a Member State to continue residing , subject to certain conditions.


    What these conditions are I dont know.It would be wise if you contact solicitor.

    do u mean it won't be broblem staying in UK
    after 5 years residenc card finishd?

    I said you should contact solicitor who can tell you under which conditions you could stay on.
    I dont know what these conditions are.Explanation is
    vague.
