Hi all - thank you for reading and am hoping for your honest help. I am moving to the UK from the US to work in the City (on bishopsgate) and am wondering what is reasonable to expect for accomodation. Wherever it is, I plan to use public transport and dont mind a 30min or so commute to work. I am single, male, 25yrs old, n/s with a fairly quiet lifestyle but want to be where there's plenty within walking distance since I dont plan on having a car. I would like a 1 bedroom but would like room for friends to stay when they visit. Have no furniture so will likely desire a furnished place (even if it is lightly furnished).

If you can advise areas I should look (I've heard islington, etc but please let me know of other areas)- and am wondering what I can expect for around 800GBP/month? Thank you so kindly for your time.

Triple H thank you - where's a good place to find a detailed tube map? I'll be working on bishopsgate (EC2M 4AA) and would want to be able to see the tube paths. Am I right I would need to get off at the liverpool station? I'm hoping the tube map tells me what lines go to what stations. Thank you!
