    hi guys

i applied for my eea2 just a week ago and today i received a letter from the home office saying that we have received your application and that i could start work now as soon as i get a job.

this doesnt make any sense how can i work if they havent made a decision yet and i havent received the residency card?

i called the ind and they said yes you can work as soon as you get a job because of your wife (she is an EU national). this doesnt make any sense to me

You are full time student waiting for EU residence. You can work.
My guess is that you already have NIN.
As for the passport which is with IND,just explain your employer.

i know i could work full time on holiday season, the letter was saying that i will be able to work without needing any kind of permit and no restrictions at all, from what i understood it is as if i have granted a Resdent permit! it is weird isnt it?

It is not weird. I am in the same situation as you. However, I have started working. My employer just checked the letter from H.O. and the copy of my passport. My current position is part-time. It would be also no problem to work as full-time.
