I don't know why I have been so hypersensative while waiting on my fiance` visa. I was just wondoring about a question that was on the application, and how my answer might wager an approval or not. It asked if I've been convicted of any crimes in the past 5 years. I haven't been convicted of any crimes, but would they be harsh or even consider denying it if it were just a citation I received for something like underage drinking? bleh, sorry to bother. Thanks for any advice or calming assurance. hehe :)

I think, if you were just issued a citation, you should answer no. A conviction is being found guilty by verdict of a court. If you went to court for it, and were found guilty that would be a conviction.

At any rate, I'm not sure that one instance of underage drinking could negate a good application. If you have all of the evidence you need, and do everything by the book, you should be fine. ^_^

    Good Luck!

Thanks, that was helpful. I was just worried about if just having a record for the underage drinking citation would count. I just had to go to the magistrate and pay a fine. But I was already presumed guilty, so I didn't know if that counted or not. :)
