✎ EN FMRS - Visa about to expire

    Hi there.

    I'm currently living in England. I am a South African on a 2 year working holiday visa.

    I am married to my Hungarian wife. Recently she sent documents to the home office as she needs to register on the worker registration scheme in order to work legally. We sent this just over 2 weeks ago.

    My visa expires on the 30th of this month, 10 days away. I need to register for FMRS (Family member residence stamp) I can only do this once my wife has received her certificate.

    What will happen on the 30th now? If her documents do not arrive back by that time am I illegal? What can I do about this? I can only send my documents once we receive her documents back. If I only send my forms through after the 30th of this month I will basically be illegal so will they refuse FMRS for me?

    Any help would be greatly appreiated, thanks!

    You should have applied together.Get her IND reference if you can and quote in the letter and apply ASAP,2-3 days :!: :!: :!:
