    Hi,

I have four quick questions as regards to my Russian wife applying for EEA family permit using the EEA2 residence card form (I'm Norwegian and have residence card).

    1. Date on which you last entered the UK. Should she state when she first came to live in the UK, or last time she came back from our holiday and they stamped her passport?

    2. In section 10 when it asks if we have made any previous applications to Immigration and to provide reference number. Do we need to mention her previous applications for student VISAs, our CoA for Marriage or my previous (successful) Residence Card application?

    3. Do I need to (or should I) send my residence card with the application?

    4. The form asks for evidence of funds (eg bank statement) in section 9... I thought EU/EEA residents were not required to provide financial evidence beyond proving that I'm working.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks!

I called and talked to an advisor at the immigration and nationality directorate.

It seems I do not need to send my residence card, but just to be sure I'll send a copy.

On re-reading I realise that bank statements are probably only if I am not employed but have enough funds to support myself without working (I wish).

The date when you last enter the UK, according to the advisor, is the last time you entered the UK from any trip abroad. Including a two day shopping holiday to Amsterdam I suppose.

Lastly, he did say to include all previous applications with home office. Although how I'm supposed to find reference numbers for all of those I'm not sure. Is there a reference number in the VISA itself or in the residence card? The registrar took the Certificate for Approval of Marriage long before we got married and so I don't have a reference for that. Anyone have any experience or knowledge to share on this?

i can only answer one of your question regarding the ref number:
if you made previous applications it is very easy to get the ref number just by calling the IND and tell them that you have previously applied for and they should still hold records of that.
it happened to me once as i did not have my ref in hand so the guy just took my name and DOB et voila.

Thanks tndfr, you are right. I and my wife called home office and got our reference numbers.

I've decided to risk erring on the side of too much information and have included our CoA(Marriage) application, previous residence and student permits and will include a copy of bank statements and residence permit to be sure they have everything they could possibly need.

This is of course in addition to passports, wageslips and photograps.
