Hello everyone, I would like to know in the application EEA2 when it is asked , " When was the last time you entered the UK?" what does this mean , last time you came in the country on a VISA or the very last time you came into the country, even if it was after a two day break in France.

Also do you know if there a minimum period that you have to wait since you last entered the UK to be able to apply for a EEA2?

And finally were in the law is it defined what a durable relationship is?

    Thanks for your help

    What is a "durable relationship"?
A durable relationship exists where an EEA national is in a relationship similar to marriage with a non-EEA national. A durable relationship should be considered under the same criteria as the Unmarried Partner of a British citizen. If the applicant meets the criteria for an Unmarried Partner, they can be issued an EEA Family Permit if it seems appropriate in all circumstances.

    Criteria as the Unmarried Partner

"You should have been living together for at least two years in a relationship similar to marriage. You will need to provide documentary evidence confirming that you have been living together for this time."

    Are you married?

    Hi there,

I am new to this site and dont know if I am posting in the correct place. But here goes.

I was born in South Africa in 1987, and can get a Republic of Ireland Passport through my grandmother. which is all fine. But what I would like to know, does this entitle my partner (we are planning to marry soon) so it will be a spousal application , to be able to apply for an EEA Family permit, although we live in South Africa at the moment and are wanting to immigrate to the UK? Does me having the Irish passport automatically make him able to apply for the EEA permit? He is an SA citizen.

    Thank You :)
