Your right to work is inherent from the fact that you are married to an EEA National (as you mentioned your husband still needs to register with WRS), of which you will need to show your marriage certificate to your future employer. An EEA Family Permit shows that you are legal to enter and stay here (though indirectly and by a huge amount of ignorance, employers think this is your right to work as well, but it's not).

I highly suggest for your husband to get even temporary work so he can register with WRS so his and your clock starts ticking regarding the 1 year wait before you can apply for a Residence Permit. YOu can only apply for this if he has been working for a year non-stop (with no more than 30 days in between jobs if he switches employers). Once you get the Residence Permit, it is a step closer to getting your British passport. You'l have to wait a few more years (and that's another topic altogether), but without your husband registered in WRS and working, then your wait will be longer.

If your employer insists on a letter, tell them that IND does not provide anything like that and have them call IND to verify themselves. The IND number to call is in one of the stickys here that I put.

Good luck, and you're very much welcome.

    Hey,
ask your employer to check these 2 links here:

    http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... legal.html

    http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/ind/en ... tamps.html

They give information to employers and as well show the stamps. So yur employer will be able to see your stamp and see in the page that people holding these stamps are able to work.

You can also ask your employer on this number: 0845 010 6677***.
This line is dedicated to answer employer questions only.
So your prospective employer will be able to ask if people with Family Permit are able to work. So he can be confident and give you the job!

*** I just found out this number today! Last Saturday my EU partner sent a letter to the Home Office to update the details and passport (his old one expired) and in 1 week, really!! Only 1 week!!! home office sent a "certificate of application" letter, and in this letter it says that EU or the non-EU partner can work straight away - even without receiving the visas, etc... And in this letter it´s giving this number to employers to confirm the status of the person.
