hello folks! im new here. i would like to ask you a question. im presently in the UK and have gained my permanent status already a couple of years ago. i have now applied for the british citizenship about a month ago and just waiting for the results. but i also would like to live and work in canada someday so at the moment, i have also finish filling in the forms and finished all the documents needed for the skilled worker application in canada. it's just about ready to be sent off to the canadian high commision in london. now my question is:

- should i now decide to submit the skilled worker(pr) application for canada, will it affect negatively my application to become a british citizen? or is it the other way around? and if so what can you advice? should i wait for the british citizenship results and get sworn in before lodging in my canada application? thanks very much to all of you in advance!

(i would like to try to apply to canada because it would take about 39months of wait anyway before someone could hear any results from the canadian high commission, so i assume that by the time they get to touch and process my paper, i would have become a british citizen already{fingers crossed} )
