Hi. I'm a 32 year old male currently living in the UK, but moving to central Paris for work at the end of May. I'm really looking forward to the move.

I'm keen to do a language exchange with a French and/or Spanish speaker in Paris and hopefully make some new friends at the same time. I'm into all kinds of things, including sport, cinema, theatre, food/wine, music, bars etc, so hopefully we'll have something in common!

I'll be in Paris flat hunting before I move over, so if anyone's interested in meeting up, let me know.

I'm moving to Paris at the end of May and was just wondering if anyone knew any good websites on finding jobs for french/english speakers and also I was wondering if anyone knew any good areas to live..i'd like to live in a place where is not ridiculously expensive but where there is stuff happening, maybe a student area

French speaker jobs in Paris? Should be easy to find ;-)

Well, seriously you can have a look of the jobs/employment in Paris section. You can have a look also at the magazine FUSAC for English speaking people (free in some English shops).

Regarding of the area, the 20th area is cheaper and is a lively arrondissement (at least around Place Gambetta), but generally everything is expensive in Paris.

Thanks I didn't think I would get a reply so quickly! Is the 20th area very far out from the city centre?

Paris is not that big. The 20th area is not far from the city center. We are not talking about the superficy of NYC or London...

You can take lessons with a nice association : El disparate. Their courses are cheap, and the ambiance is great : www.metroling.com
