    Dear Forum,

    Having checked other threads for coverage on this topic, but have not found an answer that addresses my specific sitaution.

    I am an American citizen resident in France (10 year carte de sejour). My wife of 12 years is French. We have a French/American daughter born in France 3 years ago. I have been in France for four years.

    Now, I have a job opportunity the UK.

    I'd would like to commute from France to the UK on a weekly basis (Monday through Friday in UK/Saturday, Sunday, holidays in France).

    Can you advise me on the legal implications of this move? What is required by the UK authorities to do this legally? If anyone has insight as to the the tax implications, that would be a plus.

    on the contrary he does not need a work permit ,as he is married to a french citizen,it largely depends on what he does in the UK,if it is work ,then it is advisable he applys for a eea family permit

    Poster never said his wife would accompany him(and my guess is she would not).If she does, he would need family permit,otherwise he needs work permit.
