    i am a us citizen with a french boyfriend. he was living in london but we have decided to move back to paris. however, i am on a travel visa via the uk that will be up in july - i am planning to head back to the states and then return to the uk - the 6 months is better for me.

    my question(s) are::
    1. how long do i need to stay in the us before i return - i have a friend that does this the opposite direction in nyc and he always stays for 2 weeks in scotland then flys back (he has been doing this for years)
    2. my boyfriend and i are currently trying to do the PACS in france - domestic type partenership - but it is going to take time - so how long is it fesible to keep going back and forth?

    anyone with any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
