    Hi everyone,

    This should be a simple answer but I can't find info anywhere...

    I am a US citizen and my husband is a UK citizen. We have been married 3+ years and living in the USA that whole time. Now we are thinking of moving to the UK next year.

    My question is - can I, as the wife of a UK citizen, start the process of applying for residency/work permit while we're still living in the USA? Is there any way to go into the UK with all this sorted out, so I don't have to wait around once I get there?

    Any info would be appreciated.
