How long can I and my daughter stay in England without a visa? The situation is my boyfriend and I want to live together in England, but don't want to get married just for me to come here. Can I live here during that time then later go back to the US to get married? My daughter is young so we wouldn't need schooling. I understand I would not be able to work. When the new year rolls around does the holiday time rollover when I return to the US then go back to England or is the time only alotted within a 12 month period? I hope that makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

 

In addition: Will there be issues if I visit with my daughter for say, 5 months then go back to the US, get married and apply for a spousal visa for the UK?
If we go down to LA embassy right after we get married, will we get a spousal visa in a day (with an appt)? Will my daughter be able to come with me at the same time?

OR

My daughter and I stay for about 5 months, go back apply for a fiancee visa and a visa for my daughter. During that time get married and file for a spousal visa/child visa extension from the UK for me and my daughter?

Hope this makes sense. Still hopelessly lost with all this stuff.
