    hello
I'm a new eu-member state citizen currently working in the UK.
what exactly should I include in the sponsorship letter for the family permit for the uk for my non-eu husband? is it really necessary and can the embassy refuse the application if he doesn't attach such a letter to his application? some lawyers say it's better to attach more documents than officially required.
what about the proof that I'm currently in the uk. can my statement in this letter be such a proof, or contract of employment is enough?

Letter from you in most cases would be advisable.

    Letter of invitation to UK

I have done this many times. In the letter, say what the person's relationship to you is, where they will stay while in the UK and who will pay for the costs. You can either address the letter to the embassy, or the perosn you are inviting, but I find it better to address it to the embassy. Include all contact details in the letter. You also need to prove your address in the UK (attach a phone or gas bill) your income if your are promising to pay the costs (bank statements, pay slips, letter from employer, etc). The person you are inviting needs to show that they have a reason to return home at the end of the trip. They should show proof of a job, income, family, an address or property etc.

The more documents you can provide, the better.

    Good luck

What about for visiting for just 3.5 months? Will a Letter of Sponsorship and a few months of paystubs/bank statements suffice? Do I need proof that I am allowed to stay in his flat from the Owner? Anyone know of a site that may answer this or if you guys can?
    THanks!
