I am presently trying to find a way to move to Montreal. I am a US resident therefore I hear it is not so hard of a move for me, however I can not seem to find the proper procedures as well as the answer whether or not the fact that i'm not a fluent French speaker does anyone know if this is a true hardship on finding employment etc. I presently work as a media planner and w/the attempt to keep my career would love to continue w/this while living in Montreal. Is this possible???? Most jobs I find our in French. I hate to think there is anything that isn't possible however have hit a wall of sorts.. please help.. any ideas/suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Well I am not your typical worker in that I will not steep so low as to sell myself to the devil and take a job related to telemarketing. I ahve a degree in philosophy with a minor in art history from the University of British Columbia that I worked my ass off for and I Know that in Toronto I could have had a much better position than I have here because of my language defficiency. I work in a horrible office making just over nine dollars an hour after taxes. I have been here a year and a half and I have yet to make any real friends. Sure I have met a lot of people but this city is cold. I should know I spent six months travelling all over the United States and Canada and in most cases in major cities I could meet people within hours of arrival. Not the case with Montreal however.
