Hello. My US wife will soon have a UK Passport because her father was born in the UK. I assume that she and I (US Citizen) will be able to work in the EU as a result of this. Is this a true assumption?

    If so
    1) Can I apply for jobs in the EU, while being in the US for now, and legitimately say that I am qualified to work there? (Then get any permits after we arrive)
    2) Can I get a family permit from the US without living in the UK?

    Thanks for your help!

When you say EU,do you want to work in Spain,France.?
    Family permit for UK?
You can not have family permit for UK,unless you and wife have lived and worked in e.g Germany for at least 6 months.
If you want to come to UK now ,you would need spouse visa/settlement visa.

    Thanks, your answers are helpful.

4 choices where we are most likely to wind up are UK, Spain, Czech Rep. or Poland based on the type of work I do. I was hoping there might be a single rule for all EU countries.
