    Hi,

    My fiancee is Canadian and coming over this year to the United Kingdom, where we hope to marry. After married she wishes to go to college here and evetually work, she will be 18 when she comes over.

    Can anyone tell me what sort of Visa she should get? and is there any way she can renew her Visa without visiting Canada again?

    Also, how long will it take for her to get it? (You see, she would like to remain in the United Kingdom for the whole duration rather than going back to her country.) Is it possible to apply for a marriage visa before she gets married?

    I am not sure, hence posting in this forum. :)

    Is there a Marriage Visa that lasts for 20 years?

    And if she got the Fiance/e Visa and we get married, can she renew the visa without spending any time in her home country?

    (It is complicated, you see. We love each other alot and she isn't very welcome at her home in Canada. So we want to get married and she would like to become a citizen in the United Kingdom and work here with me.)

    So, She applies for the Fiance/e Visa now. Then comes to the UK for 6 months, at the end of the 6 months we get married (or during if possible)

    Then she can re-apply for a Marriage Visa at the end of the 6 months and remain in the United Kingdom?

    Does she have to go back to Canada to apply when the 6 months is over?

    She has few months to marry(6),you dont want to do things last minute,then you apply for settlement visa/marriage visa,she gets 2 years ,she can work,after that 2 ,another application follows,when succsessful she gets ILR(Indefinete Leave to Remain),UK citizenship follows after that.

    SHE CAN DO ALL OF THAT WHILE IN THE UK!

    Would it be easier for her to come over and visit, and once married she applies for the Marriage Visa within the United Kingdom?

    What is the maximum time she stay in the United Kingdom for before she needs any kind of visiting visa?

    You can not get married unless she has fiance/e visa!
