Dear friends

My name is omar, I am a doctor from colombia, at the moment I am studying in england for more than one year, I met a lovely woman who is my girlfriend, and we have plans to get married, but we don t know exactly what to do at the moment, she has been working in the UK for one year.
We want to stay in the UK, however I dont know wich kind of visa I have to apply for, wheter if we get married and with the marriage certificate we have to go to the home office or not.
I havent received my visa because it is in the home office now in process of extension.

We would be very grateful if you are able to give us a piece of advice.
