There have been a series of explosions on the London Underground and up to three on buses in the city. The entire tube network has been closed and mobile phone networks switch off. An explosion was reported at 8.49am at Liverpool Street station and emergency services were immediately sent to the scene. Explosions have also been reported at King's Cross, Edgware Road and Aldgate and an eyewitness said she saw an explosion rip though a double decker bus near Russell Square. It is happening the day after London was awarded the Olympic games, but also the opening day of the G8 Summit. UK Home Secretary Charles Clarke said several explosions in central London had caused "terrible injuries". In London they refuse to talk about terrorist attacks this morning, but the European parliament is less prudent as they talk now about deads and terrorist blasts.
Spain and UK where the 2 main allies of Bush for the Iraq war. After Madrid's terrorist attack, British authorities said that for the UK the question is not if but when a suicide attack will take place. Unfortunatly they where right.
