What a great site you have here! I have a few quetions. My wife is from Spain and we're planning on moving to Madrid soon. She told me that she believes that I can get a Spanish passport (she thinks they just passed a law concerning this). Her uncle (he's from Spain) lives in San Diego and decided to become an American citizen a few years ago, and had lost his Spanish Citizenship when he became an American. However, he was recently reinstated as a Spanish citizen and given a passport. My question is if he can do that, is it possible for me to get a passport and/or Spanish citizenship? I met an American married to a Spaniard (they are currently living in Madrid) who is self-employed (has a valid work permit). He told me that this permit only allows him to work in Spain and not any other EU Country. Is this true? I'm interested (in the future) in perhaps working in Belgium or Luxembourg, as my wife may take a job with the EU govt. I believe I may need a passport/citizenship to do this. Can you give me any insight into these questions???
