    hey

    has anyone ever applied for this residence document /permit ...im an a non-eea member ,married to an eea member.Were refused an eea family permit before but fortunately managed to re-enter the UK on a visitors/tourist visa and was re-united with my partner .We want to regulise my stay as we will be staying here for a while .Been adviced in the past (on this forum and elsewhere ) to apply for a residence document .Has anyone done it before ?what kind of evidence is required?

    This is a dangerous strategy, because it could be considered fraudulent use of a tourist visa. While it is not a reason for refusing the Residence Card in itself, this can certainly make the process more difficult.

    It all depends on why you were refused the EEA Family Permit. If the same reason is still valid, you will probably be refused the Residence Card.

    i see ,

    well , it was initially refused becuse it was thought my motifs for marrying was due to the fact that i wanted to live in the UK longer nothing to do with a romantic involvement -it was then suggested that my partner moved to my country, S.A in addition it was added on the refusal that there were not sufficient evidence nor guarantee that we will live together as man and wife once reunited in the UK .Well , we do live together as man and wife as we genuinely are although westill want to regulise my stay here so that we can both be able to work !
