Hi...I am Polish married to SA citizen,We met in UK 2 years ago in London, he was on his holiday working visa, then in January this year he had to leave UK,coz of his visa.He didnt overstay. He proposed to me last year in September and this year in July I flew to him and we got married in SA.I came back to London after our wedding.I live in London for 2.5 year, have got my residence card, permanent job, I rent a flat myself.Few days after getting married my husband applied for a permit to come to join me in UK.We gave them all the papers required and they said that it will take from 3 to 12 working days.Today is already the 12th day and no response:( My husband is going to call them, but I am a bit stressed...did anyone go thru this recently???I read the posts here and I could notice that the refusal was made usually because one of the partners overstayed in UK...

Each country has their own specific timeframe in processing permits for non-EEA nationals. My personal experience in New York, it only took 5 business days. Some countries say a few weeks to a few months.

What you need to find out is the timeframe the UK Embassy in SA process these types of applications. If your husband has been told a few days, then you and him are in a better situation than most, as most have to wait a few months, sometimes longer. Compared to these people, your wait of a few days is nothing.

Patience is a virtue. Wait and you will reap the rewards. Dzienkuje.

Dzieki:))I have to be patient, I am just a bit tired of being unsure,lol..We have been 7 months apart except 2 weeks when I went to SA.My husband called the embassy and the told us to wait till tomorrow. You are right and honestly is better to wait longer but for a good answer;))))Greets
