More grid available but this time the biggest chaos is with the airports: the "wonderful" new terminal 5 was the first to show a complete chaos (it will remind some of the luggage mess 1 week after the opening).

Flights are cancelled and the only way to hopefully board on a plain is to do the opposite to what Heathrow's authority advice: go to the airport and wait!

Trains are not better. Normal up-North when Scotland saw 1 meter of snow fall, but even the Tube was disrupted in London.

Well, it seems that 2010 was a particularly bad year for European transport anyway (remembered the ash-cloud? or the Eurostar blocked in the tunnel?)

If anybody has got stories about the consequence of freezing day in France, UK, Belgium... they are welcomed to post.

It has just started snowing in West London again... very near to Heathrow!

It last snowed at Heathrow airport on SATURDAY AFTERNOON (48 hours ago!) yet it was closed yesterday and today there is a very limited service. Apparently this is not due to the snow, the worlds busiest airport can clear a few centimetres of snow off the runways in no time, but that BA do not have enough staff to deal with the backlog.

Too many planes and passengers backed up at Heathrow coupled with BA's ongoing labour problems seem to have created this mess. And now there is more snow on the way!

Snow every day in London until at least Thursday, according to the BBC forecast. It's going to be great fun for the Londoners!

Wasn't too affected myself as I was determined not to travel during Christmas so as to avoid the jams. Well, seems like I've avoided having to camp at Heathrow as well.

Anyway, for the rest of us in London, it has been rather pretty I must say. Took some photossome photos as I went trudging about. What are about the rest? I'm sure there are tons of photos taken on that couple of days. Care to share?
