Junior Application Support Specialist
Our client is currently hiring for a Junior Application Support Specialist, who will be an integral member of the IT Business Solutions team, which forms part of the IT Department. The position requires you to learn the business applications together with the business process to enable you to support business users with any queries, issues that arise from business users and projects that will be assigned.
Perform daily checks, work on ad-hoc tasks assigned ensuring quality and delivered in time and participate in team meetings.
Work closely with the Business Units to continuously improve processes in business operations and ensure compliance/alignment between the different requirements at different levels and different stakeholders of the organization.
Support business users on all the business application issues.
Take ownership of incidents and service requests relating to the business application systems.
Act as primary technical and application support contact, balancing good relationships with formal ticketing and documentation to guarantee clear and consistent communication.
Conduct training for business users and ensure that knowledge is continuously distributed and efficiently updated.
Coordinate all updates to the system, report and track technical issues, and oversee the subscription management of the system.
Upkeeping of system documentation and related procedures.
Work proactively and seek solutions for system optimization that bring benefits to the business on tasks assigned, ensuring quality, and delivered on time.
Assist the team with day-to-day activities ensuring optimal quality and efficiency of the department.
Coordinate and communicate with all team members to ensure everyone is kept updated at all times for business continuity purposes.
Liaising and coordinating with suppliers
Diploma level related to the IT Industry or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in Microsoft platforms and products i.e., SharePoint, Advanced level in Office Applications, etc.
A strong can-do attitude with a high level of motivation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Organized and self-motivated team player with an eye for detail
Excellent coordination and communication skills in English
Ambitious, good attitude, willing to learn and promote teamwork spirit.
Must be willing to be on-call.
Carries a resilient and proactive personality.
Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
Basic understanding of enterprise applications, including their architecture and functionality (training will be provided)
