My situation is that I’m considering moving to Copenhagen (from Melbourne) to take up a job, but I have some concerns about the cost of living/high tax rates.

The salary is DKK 612000-DKK 640000 which sounds great but the high tax rates (59%??) would take a huge chunk out of this. So really do you think this is a decent wage to support myself and my wife. We like the odd meal out, drinks with friends, cinema, comfortable house, nothing too excessive.
