I am an EU citizen (from Malta) and my partner is Russian. Our marriage is scheduled in Portugal on the 9th of November 2012. I will be moving to London on the 26th of September 2012 (3 weeks time). I will be studying for a part-time MSc in psychotherapy for 2 years starting 1st October 2012. I am a social worker by profession and have graduated with a PG Dip in Counselling. I will possibly start searching for a job at the end of January 2013. My partmer, will possibly be moving to London this January 2013.

My partner has a job in Russia (which is not registered internally) therefore, he will be traveling from London to Russia and back quite frequently, mostly without me, to manage his business.

We really need to know about all the procedures of the family permit, EEA 2 and Family Visa. Since I will not be working in London but just be a student, will my married partner have his family permit granted? How much money do I have on my bank account?

How difficult it is to have these forms approved?
