If I am a US citizen on holiday to the UK. Could my fiance apply for a fiance visa to come to the States to get married if I am in the UK with her at the time she places the application? How long might the application process take? If we planned on marrying in the States and then me return to the UK to live with her. What all would need to be applied for and done to avoid any problem with doing that? Thanks!

 

Thanks, here's one last question. What if she applies for the K-1 fiance visa, and we get married in the US but she doesn't want to reside there? We want to settle together in the UK. Would she just apply for the K-1 visa, come over to the US, get married, and then I could file for a marriage visa to come back to the UK with her? How long does this usually take. I know it can be ridden with delays. I just want to know what sort of time frame I can expect. Thanks!
