Hello,

I am a US Citizen and my fiance is a UK Citizen. We both are living in our own respective countries.

If we decide to get the UK Fiancee visa and I go over and marry him in a civil/legal marriage at a court or city hall in the allotted 6 months, could we then leave the country and have a ceremony in the USA? Are we allowed to exit the UK right after marrying, or is there a time period we (or I) have to stay in the UK before traveling? If we can travel, how long could it be for?

Any answers or help would be appreciated. We are investigating all of our options and it is quite confusing. Thank you.
