Hi everyone,
I've recently moved to Hong Kong and I was just wondering what were the best ways to get into the dating scene. I haven't met many people and I'd like to look at more ways to meet people and experience new things.
I was thinking of signing up to a dating site like
http://www.loveawake.com or
http://www.lovestruck.com/hongkong . At least through a site I could possibly see which women I'm more suited to? Any ideas on a reliable dating site I could try or are there other ways I should consider first?
I'd appreciate any ideas you have and I'll check back in a few days to see what you think.
Thanks,
RJ

Well I signed up to
http://www.lovestruck.com/hongkong/ , So far I have met a couple of nice women which have become good friends and we regularly go out on the weekend.
I would really advise people to go on one of the dating events that lovestruck organise it was a great night out and I met so many people in one night.
I will update in a couple of weeks

We published an article in our series of "_____ Like a local" that may be of use to you, "
Date Like a Local ". How have you found the dating scene? What are significant differences from the UK? And have you had luck online?
I would also offer the
Guide to Hong Kong as a resource for you to learn more about your city. You can also try connecting with other expats in the area through the forum, or the
expat network in Hong Kong (once you've made a few posts to prevent spam).
Best of luck and please do share what you find!
