My family is moving to the UK from the US (California) and need to find the cheapest way to ship our stuff over there. We are leaving almost all of our furniture here so it's just all of the rest of it that needs to be shipped. It's not 'just a couple boxes' but is definitely not a huge amount either.

Can anyone give me pointers on the best/cheapest way to ship it? Does anyone have example prices that you have paid for a similar journey?
