    Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen and my fiancee is Afghani citizen.

We are both Muslim and we would like to get married in Dubai during a 1 week stay.

I read that blood tests are required by law for nationals and residents.

How about for non- residents? Are they still required?

Also if they are, is it possible to obtain results from a recognized health institution abroad prior to arrival (so this will not delay the marriage) as I read results usually come back in Dubai after the 1st week which will be too late.

I was also wondering where we should go to for a legal marriage; do we need to apply in advance at a court office and is there awaiting time or can we get married within that same day?

I would appreciate your kind assistance on how I shoud proceed.

I look forward to hearing from you.
