I'm new to this site and in need of some practical information. I am moving to France with my french husband and would like to find out what documents I need to apply for my carte de sejour. I was told to register the marriage and get my 'family book' from the consulate in Sydney before leaving then to apply in France for the card. Will we be forced to go through all the ordeals of proving history of our relationship, loveletters photos etc or is our marriage and my partner's guarantee to financially support me going to be enough? I know when you move to Australia in the same circumstances you are scruitinized in a very terrible fashion and I want to know if France is the same...thanks in advance.
