    Hello

My partner and me have been living in France for just over a year. Both of us are under retirement age and my partner is a freelance web designer and I am a freelance writer.

We want to know how we go about getting onto the French social security system and if in our situation it is the best thing to do. Can anyone talk us through the process or suggest a place which may give professional advice on the subject?

my partner has a long term and ongoing illness and has a consultant whom he sees every six months in the UK where he also gets his meds. He is a little afraid that if he joins the French system that he will lose his entitlement to his healthcare and meds from the UK and have to pay for them in France.

    Please can someone help
