Hi.

I am a spanish citizen, but I have been living in the UK for the last 5 years.

I have a relationship with a russian girl whom I want to marry.

She currently has a student visa here in the UK, however, the school where she was studying went into administration so she can no longer prove that she is studying there.

The solution I can think of is marrying her before I was expecting to in the future, so she can get a VISA to stay in the UK, as I live here.

My question is, do I need to contact the UK Home Office or the Spanish consulate in order to start the legal process?

My girlfriend investigated a couple of websites, and said she only needs my passport, 2x photos of me and the same from her, to be submitted to Home Office UK, and that's it.

I think it can't be that easy and I would've thought it involves more paperwork.

If anyone has had a similar situation or can shed some light it would be greatly appreciated.
