Searching for new friends.

Postby AJM30 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 5:39 pm

Hi, I moved into Madrid a few days ago to train as an English Teacher.
I'm looking to meet new people in the area to see the city with.
I'm not into the club scene so if anyone just wants to see the sites and hang out at chilled bars (maybe I've picked the wrong city)then please get in touch.

My Spanish (I found out yesterday) is not as good as I thought it was, so any English speakers would be welcome to boost my self-confidence a bit.

I'm 30 and I am from North Wales in the UK.
I'd like to stay here longer than the four week course if I can, but that may mean finding a potential flatmate too.

Thanks
No mental people please :D

You could check out some of the English-friendly bars likeThe Lock Inn (C/ Santa Teresa M: Alonso Martinez)

Or J and J's books and coffee (C/ Espitiru Santo, M:Novciado). There's almost always someone there to talk to!

Or check out some live events like the Giggling Guiri Comedy Club (www.comedyinspain.com) for nights out where you can meet dozens of friendly anglos!

Good luck!
Dan
